American Idol's Lowest Ratings Since 2002

I was reading on the Yahoo TV news, @yahootv/ on the Yahoo home page,  http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/idol-gets-lowest-ratings-since-2002--1210 that American Idol is experiencing the lowest ratings it's ever had since 2002. Below the story they asked the question in the section called Talk About It : How would you fix "American Idol"? To which I felt the need to reply. http://messages.tv.yahoo.com/tv/threadview?m=tm&bn=tvb-34934f1&tid=108313&mid=110320&tof=12&frt=2  I feel they need to allow the contestants more freedom in deciding what music they wish to play. Even Indie music ( independent ) as opposed to setting up a certain genre of music, which was done by other  artists before them. Because in my opinion every artist is unique. That way we would be voting on that person's own independent talents, rather than voting on their ability to re-do other artists music that might not be suited for them to begin with. Thus allowing them to show case their own music. ( Just my thoughts on that. ) As for the results of last nights Idol it's never easy to see anyone be voted off of the show as was the case with Aaron Kelly, but he'll do okay. He has many years ahead of him to showcase his talents, and keep on rocking the world, and he will. Good luck now to the remaining 4 American Idol contestants, Casey James, Lee Dwyze, Michael Lynche ( Big Mike ), and Cyrstal Bowersox. I'll be tuning in and viewing, no matter what the ratings are.
